Frequently Asked Questions

Guayaquil is connected to the world through its award-winning airport, just a ten minute drive from the hotel. There are daily and regular flights that connect the main cities of South and Central America, as well as connections with North America (via Miami, New York, Houston and Atlanta) and Europe (direct from Madrid and Amsterdam).

Hotel staff can arrange transportation to and from the airport upon request.

The Hotel del Parque may appear to be far from the real world, but in fact, it is only a ten-minute drive from the airport, in the exclusive Samborondón neighborhood of Guayaquil. The city center can be reached in just 15 minutes.

Flights from the José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (10 minutes from the Hotel del Parque) travel directly to Baltra Island or San Cristobal Island, in an approximate flight time of less than two hours.

The park is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday from 9:00 – 17:00. Hotel del Parque guests have exclusive access on Monday and Tuesday, and on other dates when the park is closed to the public.

There are more than 50 species of birds, mammals and other animals in the natural spaces of the Historical Park. Among the three ecosystems recreated in the gardens live birds such as parrots, endangered harpy eagles, toucans and diving ducks; mammals such as sloths, tigrillos, deer, spider monkeys, tapirs, and white-collared peccaries (wild boars); and reptiles like crocodiles and spectacled alligators. A team of expert guides, in addition to those offered by the park, will be at your disposal for the tours.

Hotel del Parque is, indeed, on the banks of the river Daule. Although the hotel does not handle river activities, there are tours available through the “Turismo en el Golfo” boat.

Beauty and relaxation treatments are available for an additional cost in the bell tower, made entirely of wood, with a 360-degree view of the park.

Aside from relaxing in this tropical retreat, known as Hotel del Parque, there are a number of cultural, culinary and nature experiences available to guests: a visit to the wildlife sanctuary, a delicious chocolate and coffee roast experience, and an introduction to Ecuadorian medicinal herbs.

Children are more than welcome at the Hotel del Parque. They can participate in a treasure hunt and photos can be taken with plants and wildlife that can then be printed at the hotel. A children’s menu is available upon request.

Pets are not permitted at Hotel del Parque. However, guests can enjoy the wide variety of animals found in the park!

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

Breakfast is served in our Garden.

Room service is available from 6:30am to 11pm.

With its own charming chapel, a fantastic restaurant and a romantic view along the river, Hotel del Parque is the ideal place to celebrate your wedding, to renew your vows, or to organize an impressive gathering with your family and friends. The church and certain areas of the hotel can be rented for events.

All your dietary requirements can be taken care of by the restaurant staff. Please inform the team prior to your arrival.

Check in time is at 3pm and check out at 12pm.

There are several outlets near the bedside tables, on the desk, and throughout the room, including USB sockets on both sides of the bed.

In each room, guests will find a minibar, alarm clock, safe, complimentary coffee and tea (French press, kettle), welcome gifts for all guests, bathrobes, and slippers. Hypo-allergenic sheets are available upon request.
